Great New Television Show - Home Made Simple

Saw this on Saturday. It was wonderful - 3 home "mavens" entered a family's home and organized a closet, taught a young girl how to cook and clean up after herself, revamped an extra bedroom to function as a study room for three children and taught the children how to make hand pressed cards using flowers from the garden. I understand that it is on every Saturday on TLC. I'll be setting my recorder for this show. I've included a link to their website which is equally awesome! http://www.homemadesimple.com

Spring Simplicity

Yes, I am thinking Spring at the end of January - i've even planned out my garden. I'm ready for the warm weather! The snow and cold are just so unproductive. It takes 10 times longer just to go outside what with the boots, hat and oh yes, the winter underwear. I've also been downsizing lately. I donated two coats to Goodwill this week after they were replaced by one coat. I can't tell you how many bags that I have donated full of my clothing. Much of it was things that no longer fit or that I didn't love. It makes choosing what I'm wearing so much easier. Less is more. I find that if you have a few key pieces and build an outfit around them, you can get along with less clothing. And to me, that's a good thing. Now if only I could get my husband to clean out his clothes closet!
