Today is the Day! The kick off to my Joyfully Organized Teleclass on January 7th.


Each day from December 7th through the day of the Joyfully Organized Teleclass - January 7th - I will be posting each day about something that made me happy, joyful, smile or laugh - you get the idea.

 Today I am joyful about a radio station.  Yep, you got it.  In the days of satellite radio (is that still a thing?), Apple Music and connecting your phone right into your car stereo - I listen to the radio most often.

In scanning the stations I came across one that plays, well, I guess you would call them "classics".  The songs I remember from when I was really young.   Crosby, Stills and Nash - Southern Cross, Robbie Dupree - Steal Away, Christopher Cross - Sailing.




The thing that kills me about this radio station - is that it is run by students!  How do they know these songs?  Now, I was thinking they were college students.  Nope - high school!  Well - I'm not going to question that - I'm just going to enjoy.

A couple of years ago, my husband and I traveled to Italy for a 3 week trip. On the way to board our plane to return home, we got questioned by the gatekeepers at the airline.  What was your business in Italy?   What did you purchase?  How long were you here?   When I told the guy 3 weeks, he didn't believe me because we had no checked luggage.  We only had the two carry on's that you see here - along with my purse and a backpack. "You mean to tell me that you've been in Italy for 3 weeks and this is all the luggage you have?", said the attendant.  Yep.  His next question, "What did you buy?"  2 DVD's and a pair of shoes.  "Your joking, right?"  Nope.  I said that we traveled to Italy to enjoy the experience, not to shop.  Apparently this is not the norm. Change is uncomfortable - but gorgeous at the end.

Change is uncomfortable.  It makes me uneasy.  It's unsettling.   Have you ever felt the same? Change, for me, was also necessary.  Which is totally contradictory to what I just said, right? A few weeks ago, I was talking with my coach and sharing with her that I was feeling super uncomfortable.  I was somewhat aware that I was changing, but I wasn't giving it my undivided attention.   Carol, my coach, explained to me that I was feeling was completely normal.  And I knew it - but I didn't want to necessarily deal with it.  She asked me to embrace it.  Once I did, I got even more uncomfortable.  It was one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced.  It was difficult for me to make a decision.  Who am I?  Who am I changing into?  Do my old thoughts and ideas match who I am becoming?  How is this change going to change the way I present myself, work with clients, live my life?
